I now have a website. A real website with a blog! Check it out on http://www.nikazbasnik.com for the real deal and all the updates.
See you there,
For all of you unable to attend my exhibition here are some photos of prints to get an idea of what is there to see. I managed to take some photos of the smaller prints before taking them to Amsterdam and left the larger ones safely rolled up in the tubes. (click on the photo to enlarge)
Soon I’ll also post some photos from the opening, so you see how it all looked when set up.
The big announcement:
August 4th, 2012, The Bookstore, Amsterdam.
Everyone is more then welcome to come either for the opening or visit The Bookstore in August when the work is being exhibited.
I’ll make the final selection of photos this weekend and send it to print next week. Once printed I’ll give you a sneak peak, reveal the title and tell you more about how thrilled I am showing my work.
Interview photo-shoot with Joachim Trier for Cineville. You can see some photos here and read the interview (in Dutch!) here >> link, done by Erik. Photos by me 🙂
It was a really exciting experience that tested my ability to quickly produce good photos. I believe I managed to capture Trier’s relaxed and friendly personality and make the most out of given light and space.
The recent promo photo-shoot to support Jet Nijkamp‘s exhibition ‘Bunkerleven’ was made in Retort Art Space in Amsterdam.
The large scale drawings were drawn in accordance to the beautiful natural light in the space. My portraits were a mere continuity of this aesthetics, capturing the pale landscapes juxtaposed with the artist herself.
Some time ago I was holding on to one of three cameras, filming Rachel Garfield’s new film series ‘The Struggle; Part 1: The Straggle’. I am pleased to announce that the opening of the exhibit will be on April 19th in Beaconsfield Gallery in London. More info here, link>>
I’m showing a print and a video at Mileskm opening today, collaborating on two projects for this exhibition. Come to Bussey Building for the private view today and to Brick Box Cafe in Tooting Market tomorrow for a special spoken word event. >> http://mileskm.wordpress.com/2012/02/23/london-2012/
